WAH Website Review For oDesk
Website Review For oDesk (Now Upwork)
I’ve read nothing but good things about oDesk. The company has been in existence since 2003. oDesk was originally known for programming work. Now you can get jobs in any field such as; writing, virtual assisting, graphic designing, web developing, blogging, proofreading and many more.
The first steps to making money with oDesk is to first create your profile and list your skills and experience. Also there are tests that you can take for free here https://www.odesk.com/tests. You can take however many tests you want to take. These tests will significantly add value to your profile, application, and your cover letter. Make sure you provide a photo of yourself along with a portfolio of your work samples. Your cover letter is the most important, so you must make it as good as possible. A good cover letter makes the best first impression.
Start with applying for smaller jobs, and work your way up to the larger ones that will make you more money. Also to further help you and supply you with more tips, visit the oDesk forum and blog, and don’t forget to subscribe to their newsletter.
From what I’ve gathered, there are two types of jobs with oDesk. There is fixed price jobs and hourly jobs. The fixed price jobs usually take longer to complete and also the pay is not always guaranteed. The hourly jobs are much more secure, and they are done by using the oDesk application which is loaded on your computer. Then you begin work by logging into the system. This way the clients will keep track of your progress and know when the jobs are completed. Hourly jobs are guaranteed pay.
oDesk pays US members via deposit into your bank account. For international members the pay can be via MoneyBookers, wire transfer, or what is called the Payoneer debit MasterCard.
At the time of this review and according to the site…2519 new jobs were added to the database in the last 24 hours.
